when the light that shines in the morning is the kind of cold that kills and you place each dream on the table try to crystallize your will these are not times when the endless burn as bright and we are thought crimes we are the stories told that turn to gold and anodize the light you can slaughter your gods and kill all your idols but you still can miss the point and waste your breath describing the devil to each savior you anoint those were not gods just the skins you wore before and you don’t get to throw your freedoms down upon the ground demanding even more. you think that your maps and rules of engagement and the secrets set in stone are ends in themselves are not deviations from what you’ve always known yes these are truths and a map can guide you home but you must not confuse a faith with a fact a choice with an act the truth with the path you choose
2.
drifting up 03:54
when the moon shines cold in the dead of night and the bitter winds whip the trees and all you knew is ripped from you it is there you will find me when the sun shines warm in the morning bright and the light dances on the leaves and your heart grows wings as new hope springs it is there you will find me for i am part of earth and sky and all that lies below of the rocks and stones and the birds that fly and you are not alone when the rain falls hard to wash this world and white fire screams in the air and you raise your eyes to the raging skies you will know i am there when all the bells have fallen still and the stars shine bright on the land and the peace you feel is all that is real it is there that i am for we are made from dreams and dust and all that came before of dark and light, of days and nights nothing less, and nothing more

4.
although the world is cold and white and morning fraught with fear held safe within the arms of night they cannot hurt you here mother night brings forth the flower which blooms most fragrantly a song that tells of what you are not what you seem to be sleep sleep and fly on wings of paper bone and tears to cities far beyond the stars they cannot hurt you here sleep sleep and dream of times when winter lasts for years safe within the arms of night they cannot hurt you here
5.
the time has come to go, she said into the fields of white she did not mind my frailty and led me to the light and slowly as we ventured on i felt my limbs grow strong i felt the fear and anger fall away all pain was gone i saw the sky, the stars, the sea, had always plot a course that only led to what I am within, my heart the door
6.
lighthunter 06:39
i am the crawling light i am deeds, acts that slither into goodness that ache for absolution turning away from darkness screaming into morning i will be redeemed i can be whole
7.
the seeker 04:23
that which speaks yet has no voice that which loves yet has no heart that which thinks yet has no mind that which dreams yet does not sleep that which dies yet does not live that which cries yet has no tears that which screams yet has no breath that which yearns yet has no form

about

lighthunter brings together diverse instrumentation and influences to explore truth, transcendence, and the nagging Other that so often lurks in our reality. It's a curious coalescence of sound and emotion that drifts in the liminal places between genres.

about

Snaig Tharta Portland, Oregon

Nora has strange phenomena happening to her all the time, which she doesn’t really have the language to describe. Scott has long studied Forteana. As life partners together since 2003, Scott and Nora created Snaig Tharta as a natural extension of these conversations, and a way to further explore the intricacies of this haunted life and marriage. ... more
